Frequently Asked Question

  • What types of synthetic diamonds (lab-grown) will be covered?

In this course we will focus on the creation and identification of both HPHT synthetic diamonds, as well as CVD synthetic diamonds.

  • I do not sell synthetic diamonds (lab-grown), so is this course relevant to me?

The risk of undisclosed synthetic diamonds (lab-grown) being sold as diamonds is a sad but real risk today. This course aims to provide you with clear advice and guidance on  how to protect your internal pipeline and continue to ensure that consumer confidence is achieved within your business.

  • Can I test my own diamonds on the course?

Samples for testing will be provided by the training team and we kindly ask students not to bring specific examples of their own. Once you have completed the course, and have a better understanding of how to detect synthetic diamonds, one of our representatives will be happy to share more detail about testing services and equipment which is available to the industry.

  • What do I need to bring to the course?

The course utilises some the world leading screening and verification equipment produced by De Beers. All samples to be used throughout the day will be supplied by our experts. Therefore you only need to bring yourself.

  • What does CPD accreditation mean?

Accredited CPD training means the learning activity has reached the required Continuing Professional Development standards and benchmarks. The learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Service provides recognised independent CPD accreditation compatible with global CPD requirements. See the CPD Certification Services' website for further details.
